The movie doesn't leave you pondering the mysteries of a lost civilization. It leaves you pondering the psychopathology of the director.. Mel Gibson is a real artist as a director.. Pleasantly dumb fun if you watch it with the right mind-set.. Nice to know America's action stars, no matter how old they get, will never lack for gainful employment..
